Monks Bar & Grill a sports bar that has walls filled with sports memorabilia, especially from the Badgers. If you want to catch the football game, there are plenty of TVs to watch. Every time there is a touchdown, they pass out jello shots. They serve very good bar food here. People are in love with their cheese curds. The close second is the monkey fries which are french fries smothered in cheese and bacon pieces. They have a fully stocked bar. If you like supporting the local breweries, they serve local beers on tap. Expect to pay a reasonable price for the food and drink you get. Monks is perfect for large groups to come eat at.

Nitty Gritty is the place to have your birthday party. They have won awards for the birthday party service. If it is your birthday, you get a mug that can be filled with pop or beer with unlimited refills. Since they do birthday parties, this is a great place for large groups. You can call ahead to ensure you will get a table but you can also walk in. It can get pretty loud because of all the parties but there is definitely a fun atmosphere. Gritty has lunch specials. Power hour offers drink specials from 10PM to 11PM. It is a fantastic place to get a burger. While you are waiting for your food, you can play some of the arcade games.

Johnny's is a mix of the classic supper clubs of the 1940's and 1050's and today. It has a sophisticated design that is welcoming and warm. They also play classic music like Sinatra, Dean and Sammy Davis, Jr, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr. There is a Blue Bar that will serve you classic Martinis, speciality cocktails, and wine from their extensive list. This is a nice place to have a private dinner. Expect to pay a little more than other restaurants. They really know how to cook a steak but they also blend itlain in with the rest of their food.

This is the perfect date night restaurant. The has a very romantic feel. If you let them know its a date, they may put rose petals around your table. Ruth's is a steak house so they serve delicious steaks. They are experts in cooking them to perfection. The price here is on the high side, but you get a good amount of food. Ruth's is only open for dinner. If you have an anniversary coming up or a date, this is the place to take the special person.
